Nimpamya holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education (Economics-Major and History-Minor), Master of Arts in Peace and Conflict Studies, Advanced Diploma in Climate Change and Remote sensing, Diploma in Project Planning and Management. Advanced Certificate in Transboundry Water Management for L.Victoria (organized by Natura Ramboll and Swedish Water Institute), Certificate in Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP- organized by UNEP, UNITAR & Switch Africa Green). He is also trained as an Emerging African Leader in Mining offered by The International Mining for Development Centre (IM4DC) in conjunction with the University of Queensland, supported by the Australian government.
Nimpamya has over 15 years of experience in advocacy and research work. He is a distinguished environmentalist, peace and conflict analyst and a human rights defender. His work focuses on the political, economic, and environmental underpinnings of region’s nascent extractive sector, oil and gas sector, environment and climate change, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), promoting transparency and accountability. He serves on different boards of national, regional and international organizations and platforms.
