LAUNCH OF THE TREE PLANTING PROJECT IN NSAMBYA, MAKINDYE DIVISION

ACCC in partnership with the World University Service of Canada, Young African Refugees for Integral Development (YARID) and KCCA, at the launch of the tree planting project in Nsambya, Makindye Division. The project seeks to green Kampala with over 1000 trees. Let’s protect our Environment. Urban refugees from different countries were oriented and involved in the tree planting exercise.

ACCC and it’s partners plan to plant over 5000 trees in the next one and half years in Kampala. This is meant to promote the greening of the city and thus contributing to climate change mitigation. Its high time we appreciated that climate change is real and that without concrete actions, it will be extremely difficult for the urban population to withstand the ernomus climate change impacts and the pollution from the activities in the city.
